Batteryvitamin can provide a physical functionality and, as such, chemical interaction can be expected to be minimal.

When barrier is formed at end of charge (because gassing potential is exceeded); can increase potential at end of constant current charge (as shown); can decrease current at end of constant voltage charge.

The barrier can be deactivated by discharging, remains dormant until next gassing charge. A small amount of Batteryvitamin is drawn out of the electrolyte each cycle.

Batteryvitamin can be adsorbed onto the negative plate during charging. It is able to remain dormant until the gassing potential is exceeded.
